Backend Engineer (Golang)

Open Role:

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer for our client. As an early engineer, you will play a critical role in building the foundation of our AI-driven platform. You will report directly to the CTO, you will design and develop scalable backend systems, optimize data processing, and shape the technology that powers our core product. This is a unique opportunity to join an early-stage startup. You will own major technical decisions that will have a direct impact on our success.

Our Teck Stuck:

• Backend: AWS, Golang
• Frontend: React
• Android: Jetpack Compose
• Communication Layer: gRPC

What will you do?

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build and optimize databases for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Implement security and authentication protocols to protect user data.
• Work closely with the CTO to define the technical roadmap and architecture.
• Deploy and monitor cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and AI teams to integrate machine learning models into the product.
• Establish best practices for backend development, testing, and deployment.

Skills, Experience and Role Expectations:

• 4+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment and take ownership of projects.

• Passion for building scalable, efficient, and secure backend systems.
